The Educational Leadership Academy took place from Aug. 10 to 14 in both Edmonton and Calgary. It was the first time the annual event has taken place outside of Banff. This change, which led to a drastic reduction in the cost to attendees, saw attendance jump from the usual 35 to 40 people to about 180 in Edmonton and 18 in Calgary. Aimed at principals, the academy’s mission is to promote the professional growth of education leaders.
