BE IT RESOLVED, that the Alberta Teachers’ Association urge the Department of Education to meaningfully involve the Association in the development of Alberta’s representations to agencies or bodies responsible for developing and administering national and international assessments or research studies in which the province’s students and/or teachers are expected to participate.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Alberta Teachers’ Association urge the Department of Education to assess the workload burden implications and system level costs for the required participation of students, teachers, principals and district staff to support the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) 2018.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Alberta Teachers’ Association urge the Department of Education to immediately undertake a review of senior high school funding with the objective of developing a model that would provide adequate, appropriate, equitable resources in amounts responsive to the needs of the province’s diverse schools. ❚
