Pedal power helps kids

September 11, 2012

For two days they pedalled madly round the clock to raise more than $35,000 for charity. The Class of 2012 Grad Service Project at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School, in Red Deer, participated in an indoor bike-a-thon, April 25–27. Team members—more than 150 students, several alumni, division staff and more than 40 members of Red Deer Catholic Local No. 80—took turns riding stationary bikes. Proceeds went to KidSport, a charity that provides financial support to help youth access athletic programs in the community.
