Fiscal Responsibility Amendment Act, 2006

Sponsored by Finance Minister Shirley McClellan, Bill 24 raises the threshold at which non-renewable resource revenue can be used for fiscal policy purposes from $4.75 billion to $5.3 billion. Nonrenewable resource revenue over $5.3 billion will continue to be funnelled into the Alberta Sustainability Fund.
