All dressed up

Music and Grade 1 teacher Heather Barry of Aurora Elementary School in Drayton Valley.


Teachers at Glenmary School in Peace River greet students during assembly on the first day of school on Aug. 31. It’s an annual tradition for staff to wear red shirts on the first day, as it makes them more identifiable to students, creates staff unity and boosts school spirit.


Teachers at Eagle Butte High School in Dunmore (near Medicine Hat) dressed up as high school stereotypes like jocks and nerds for the filming of a back-to-school lip synch video. Other teachers embraced the school’s rural connection by dressing as cowboys and cowgirls.
