Executive Report
The data is in from a study that tracked teacher workload throughout the 2014/15 school year.
The study came about as a result of the framework agreement that the province legislated in May 2013. Participants were asked to electronically track their school-related activities for one full week in each month from September through June 2015 and complete a questionnaire for July and August 2014.
More than 1,900 teachers and 140 administrators completed the survey for at least eight of the 10 months, providing almost 20,000 individual weeks of data. This study has been a huge undertaking and represents one the largest data sets in Canada.
The research firm, Malatest, is currently processing the survey data, with the expected completion date of Oct. 31. At that time, Alberta Education will determine the process for releasing the report, which was fully paid for by the provincial government. ❚
| Draw winners |
Study participants were entered into a draw for a flight for two to any Air Canada destination. The winner is Christine Samson from the Greater St. Albert Roman Catholic Separate School District No. 734.
