Certificates of achievement

The Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence program has two levels of certificate: excellence and achievement. Every year, the program awards up to 10 certificates of excellence and up to 25 certificates of achievement. The following Alberta teachers earned certificates of achievement this year.

Carla Cuglietta
St. Joseph High School, Edmonton

This powerful and passionate teacher inspires positive change, models how to be a leader while engaging students in activities that build character, and supports students’ physical, intellectual and spiritual development.

 

Abbi Easton
Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Fort McMurray

Never backing down from a ­challenge, [this] educator transitioned from teaching Grade 1 to Grade 9, bringing along techniques to engage teens and guide their learning with open-ended enquiries.

 

Mandy Reed
École Secondaire Notre Dame High School, Red Deer

This master teacher and true servant-leader gives second-language learners every opportunity to succeed in school and helps Canadians and their ­families build a new life.
