Until Dec. 12, Public Interest Alberta is collecting stories from teachers, educational staff, parents, students and anyone else who has information about classroom conditions in Alberta schools. The survey consists of 10 short questions and takes only a few minutes to complete. Stories are being collected at the organization’s website at http://pialberta.org/classroomstories. Results will be published in early 2015.

Forum

Students between 15 and 19 who are currently attending high school can apply to attend Forum, an annual week-long event that brings together 300 students from across Canada for an intensive immersion into the world of Canadian politics.

Students learn about and visit many institutions during their stay, including the House of Commons, Senate, the Supreme Court and Rideau Hall. Students have a chance to engage in discussions with national leaders and in role-playing simulations.

More information is available by calling the Forum office at 613-233-4086 or by visiting the organization’s website at www.forum.ca.
