More than 350 public school students learned about environmental opportunities and challenges at the second annual Emerald Day at MacDonald Island in Fort McMurray on Oct. 2. The event included a presentation about inspiring environmental success stories from keynote speaker Simon Jackson, one of Time magazine’s “50 Heroes for the Planet.”
