Music teacher Caitlin Smith leads the Senior Orchestra as students at École Pine Grove Middle School, in Edson, look on. The orchestra is part of the Edmonton Public Schools Music Enrichment Program, which brings students from various schools together to play music after regular school hours. The performance was one of four in a three-day tour with stops in Edson and Jasper, as well as Kamloops and Kelowna, in British Columbia. The tour not only provides public performance skills for the orchestra members but also allows children in smaller communities to experience a live orchestra.—Photo by Adrian Thysse
