OTTAWA – The Canadian Teachers’ Federation(CTF) and the Global Partnership for Education(GPE) will launch tomorrow the #ShapeTheFuture campaign in Canada at a celebration in honour of World Teachers’ Day in Ottawa.

The digital campaigncalls on students, teachers, parents and all other citizens in Canada and around the world to take action to #ShapeTheFuture for the millions of children and youth who don’t have access to education.

Attending the event will be federal officials, teacher leaders, NGO representatives and public education advocates. Recipients of this year’s Norm Goble Award will be announced, highlighting the contributions of international partner teacher organizations who are helping to #ShapeTheFuture of their children and youth.

The Global Partnership for Education works with developing countries to ensure that every child receives a quality basic education, prioritizing the poorest, the most vulnerable and those living in countries affected by fragility or conflict. The GPE mobilizes financing for education and supports developing countries to build effective education systems founded on evidence-based planning and policies.
