Legal Issues for System Leaders LISL Conference
October 27 - 28, 2021 Add Event to your Calendar
Virtual, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Complexity, Diversity and Renewal The goal of LISL 2021 is to provide a relevant and timely virtual conference intended for system administrators that focuses on the exchange of information about a particular subject of study. School-based administrators will also find the seminar interesting and useful. This year there will be three, half day sessions: Jody Carrington: Trauma Informed Practice Over the past 15 years, Dr. Jody Carrington has assessed, treated, educated and empowered some of our most vulnerable and precious souls on the planet. She is a child psychologist by trade, but Jody rarely treats children. The answer lies, she believes, in the people who hold them. Especially when children have experienced trauma, thats when they need big people the most. Anne Grant: Workplace Investigations Anne Grant has practised as a full-time mediator and conflict resolution professional since 1994. Her practice includes extensive mediation of labour and civil disputes. She specializes in the assessment and restoration of poisoned work environments as well as conducting a range of workplace investigations. Qualified in law, mediation and nursing, Anne has far-reaching experience handling toxic workplaces in the public and private sector. Field Law: Important Cases of 2020-21 on Professional Regulatory decisions and Labour decisions: An overview of pertinent legal cases system leaders should be aware of will be discussed along with a discussion of emerging legal topics. Join us for the 2021 Legal Issues for System Leaders conference When: 2021 10 2728 Where: Virtually via Zoom Registration Link: https:zoom.usmeetingregistertJAkde-vrzwpGtLb9deHfaeuVBBwy72wKeNN If you have any questions about the LISL registration process, please contact Nikki Cloutier in Teacher Employment Services at 780-447-9400 in Edmonton or toll free 1-800-232-7208.
