Objectives
The objectives of the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Council are to improve teaching practice within CTS by increasing members' knowledge and understanding of this specialty; to offer professional development opportunities to members; to provide advice to the Association on such aspects of CTS as learning and working conditions, curriculum and teacher preparation; and, through the Association, to act as an advocate for advancing and promoting the specialty.
Activities
The Council attempts to establish networks among CTS teachers and opportunities for professional development provincially and regionally.
Publications
The Council's newsletter, CTS Circular, is published four to five times annually. It updates members on recent events, reports decisions of the Council's executive and provides information from related organizations. The newsletter also provides members with a venue for expressing their views and celebrating successes.
